Single-stage vertical and horizontal pump.

The principle of this pump is that a centrifugal impeller inside the casing transfers mechanical energy to the liquid between its vanes. Centrifugal pumps do not have the ability to self-prime the liquid and should therefore be primed by gravity. The pump is driven by an asynchronous electric motor of enclosed construction, approved for use in explosive areas and marked ‘Ex’.

It is mounted to the foundation via clamps underneath the suction body. In refineries, they are used to pump distillation products.
